What can the Board President to if one Board member keeps making motion after motion, just changing the idea a little, and the motions are all voted down. Is there a way to stop him from continuing to make so many motions? We are a small Board of 12 mutual benefit corporation?
thanks
Dear Patricia,
There is a rule that once a motion has been defeated, unless there is a substantial change in the motion, it cannot be brought up again at the same meeting. However, Mr. Persistent can bring up the same question once at future meetings. I have seen some one be so persistent that ultimately he wins because people are so fed up with what he is doing that they just vote for it.
Cheerio,
Little Ben
